About Us

My love of travel started young. My grandparents took me on countless road trips around the U.S. We journeyed to over 30 states together. It also gave me a deep love for my country. When I was 16, I travelled internationally for the first time. Travel as a kid and teenager opened my imagination to what was possible. I was mesmerized by the beauty of world and its people. It gave me invaluable perspective on life and ignited a life-long passion for travel.

My first job out of college was working for an international organization in Brussels, Belgium. I spent several years, seeing and exploring everything Europe had to offer.  Later, I went on to work for the State Department and eventually an international company. Travel was my job and my life. I lived out of hotel rooms for years until I met my husband and decided to put down roots. My husband was born and raised in Sweden. We travel to Sweden regularly to see friends and family.

We treasure sharing our love of travel with our young daughter, just as my grandparents did. I founded Luxe Scout Travel for busy families who want to elevate their vacations with their kids. Life gets busy. While we love obsessing over every detail, it can be tedious and time-consuming.
